Arsenal is welcoming Cardiff in round 24 of English Premier League.
Arsenal is the team that has the potential to be in the top three teams in England. Arsenal has great players, nice and enjoyable game play, really strong offense but sometimes they get carried away and that is what costs them against the weaker teams. Aubameyang is Arsenal’s top goal scorer with 14 goals and Lacazette has scored 8 goals. Ramsey leads the team with 6 assists and is expected to lead the team in this match. Welbeck, Holding and Mkhitaryan are all injured and will not play. Arsenal’s home record is impressive, 9 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss with 26 scored goals and 10 conceded goals. Arsenal is holding 5th place on standings but are only 3 points behind 4th place which is the last spot that leads into Champions League next season.
Cardiff is the team that was promoted to Premier League this season, and I don’t think they will stay at this level. Cardiff is in my opinion the worst team in the league. Cardiff donesn’t have the best players and are getting destroyed on the defensive end. Cardiff’s offense isn’t much better as they are struggling with creating chances and when they do it’s hard for them to score. Cardiff’s away record is 1 win, 2 draws and 8 losses with only 6 scored goals and 21 conceded goals. Peterson is Cardiff’s top goal scorer with 4 goals while Murphy and Camarasa have scored 3 goals. Even though Cardiff is only 2 points away from safe zone, if they don’t make some big changes in their game style, it will be very hard for them to stay in EPL.
Arsenal and Cardiff played 6 times dating back to 2006. Arsenal has won 5 games, and 1 ended in a draw. Given the fact that Arsenal is one of the best home teams in EPL, and Cardiff’s poor defense, I’m not giving Cardiff much chance and I expect routine victory from Arsenal.
