Arsenal host Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Arsenal have looked good this season and they enter this match having won their last 9 games. The strikers have been exceptional for Arsenal as the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have led the attack to average over 3.5 goals per game for their last 10 matches. Arsenal are only second to Manchester City in goals scored this season and the strikers are looking very hard for any defense to handle. The defense has been an issue for Arsenal over the past few seasons and that problem hasn’t changed this season. Arsenal have conceded the most goals for any team in the top 5. That being said, Arsenal’s defense is being well covered by their strikers who are scoring more goals than the team is conceding.
Leicester City, on the other hand, enter this match having lost at home to Everton in their last fixture. It was a disappointing loss for the Foxes as they lost the key defender, Wes Morgan, due to a red card. Morgan will be suspended for this match which will greatly weaken Leicester’s defense. With Arsenal in incredible attacking form, it is hard to see how Leicester City stop the goals with Morgan not playing. Leicester City have done very well away from home this season but with their opponents being Arsenal, I don’t think the Foxes will have enough to challenge the Gunners.
The last time Leicester City and Arsenal played at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal won. In that game, Arsenal won 4-3.
While Leicester City have shown great quality this season, I think Arsenal will be too strong for them. The Gunners are in incredible form and after beating Fulham 5-1 in their last game, the team is very high on confidence. With the team playing at home, I see Arsenal winning.
