Liverpool vs Arsenal
|Date & Time||Saturday November 3, 2018, 1:30 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Arsenal +280 / Draw +275 / Liverpool +100 -- Over/Under: 2.5
Arsenal will host Liverpool in what is expected to be an outstanding match at the Emirates Stadium in London.
Arsenal’s winning streak was ended last weekend as they only managed to get a draw against Crystal Palace away from home. While it was a disappointing result, it was not a concerning performance as Arsenal were the better team who failed to secure the win. Arsenal have only lost 2 games this season which have been against Manchester City and Chelsea. While Liverpool are just as strong as the teams that have beaten Arsenal, those matches were in August and the team is now in much better form and much more adjusted to the systems established by the manager, Unai Emery. Arsenal have not beaten any major teams this season so the Gunners will see this as a great opportunity to prove that they can compete with the best sides in the league. I am expecting the likes of Ozil and Xhaka to continue their great form as they have been playing very well recently.
Liverpool have also been very strong lately as they beat Cardiff City 4-1 last weekend. Sadio Mane looks in outstanding form as he scored two goals in his last outing. This match is expected to be a test for Liverpool as they will be away from home and against top opposition. It will be important that the likes of Van Dijk and Louvren play well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Arsenal strikers have made it tough for most defenses this season. Liverpool has not been at their best away from home lately as their record on the road since their draw at Chelsea has been 1-1-1. With this match at the Emirates, Liverpool will need to be at their best if they want to win.
This should be an exceptional game as some of the best players in the world will be on the pitch for both Arsenal and Liverpool. I am going to pick Arsenal to win this match. While Liverpool have been very strong over the past few seasons, Arsenal are looking just as good at the moment and I think their home ground advantage will get them over the line.
