If I were to tell you that Arsenal have only scored one goals in four games you'd be shocked but the reality is that of their three goals so far this season only one has been scored by an Arsenal player Olivier Giroud , who was booed off by the French fans during the international break. Arsenal are creating plenty of chances but they have not taken many. Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Mezut Ozil must contribute more on the scoring front and Oxlade Chamerlain, Cazorla and Ramsey must find a way to chip in too. Arsenal right now are struggling but I dont expect those struggles to last too long as this squad is too talented and Arsene Wenger is too good as a manager.
Stoke City have had their own struggles of late and really should have alot more than the two points they do have from four games. After dominating the Liverpool game on the opening day of the season the Potters succumbed to a wonder goal from Phillip Couthino. With so much attacking talent on the field one would be forgiven for thinking that Stoke should eb scoring more goals. Just three goals in four games leaves them in the bottom three after losing to West Brom last time out when they had two players sent off in the first half. Van Ginkel, Diouf, Ireland and Arnautovich will be looking to get things going for Stoke here and dont be surprised in Jonathon Walters has played himself back into the side after his heroics for Ireland on International duty.
This one is going to be an interesting game. It appears as if Arsenal are really struggling to score goals and they face a side that have proven time and again to be defensively solid and tough to break down. Mark Hughes has brought in some proper footballers in the summer and his side will look to get it down and pass it around but they also wont be shy in a tackle with Johnson, Muniesa and Cameron all solid at the back. Tough game to call here but given the prices I am going to go with something a little different. Taking the overs in the corners market as I think Arsenal may dominate possession and use their width here that should lead to alot of defensive clearances from Stoke and hopefully alot of corners. Take the overs on teh corner index at 9.5
