Arsenal look to get their season off to a strong start when they host West Ham at the Emirates. Arsene WEnger will be looking to build on last weekend's Charity Shield win by getting a first competitive win of the season against a West Ham team that have already played four competitive fixtures in the Europa League.Slaven Bilic's side though are decimated by injury at the moment with Enner Valencia the latest star to be struck by the injury bug. With Valencia and Andy Carroll missing through injury, West Ham will turn to Sakho to play through the center and lead the line for the hammers a job he did very well last season. West Ham crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday but Bilic put out a very young side and ha made it clear that the league is West Ham's priority.
Arsenal will look to continue their fine form from pre season where they won every game and were impressive doing so. While Alexis Sanchez is not qute 100% after an extended break following Chile's Copa America victory, Arsenal still have plenty of firepower up front nd Giroud, Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain, Ozil, Ramsay, cazorla should be too much for West Ham on Sunday. Arsene Wenger has put together a team that could compete for a Championship but it's now time for them to prove it when they get into the action on Sunday. Petr Cech coming across from Chelsea is massive and the goalkeeper will be anxious to get this under way Cech should be worth a few points to Arenal over the course of the season and may be the vital cog in the unit that Arsenal needed to push them to that next level.
While I see this as a game Arsenal must win I am confident that this is a side that will do just that. Arsenal have an abundance of attacking talent and I fancy them to get a few goals on Sunday. Arsenal -1 is the best value I have seen in a long time, yes it is the start of the season and shocks like Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Swansea do happen but this is a Gunners side out to prove themselves and I think they get a statement win here on Sunday.
