A must win game for both of these struggling teams this one could be full of tension and intrigue the question is who wil come out on top when Aston Villa host Swansea city at Villa Park? Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is definitely under pressure and is the favourite to be the next manager sacked in the league, never a good place to be. Aston Villa though are rooted to the bottom of the league with just four points in nine games and are in danger of being left behind and isolated in the relegation places if they dont start picking up points. Villa have some good players in their squad and with Grealish, Jordan Ayew, Sinclair and Clarke all young players with bundles of potential one would expect Villa to move up the table if they can start scoring some goals. Having scored just two goals in their last five games the problems for Villa are obviously putting the ball in the net. Rudy Gestede has had a decent start to his Villa career though with three goals in nine games but Villa need more from the former Blackburn hit man.
Swansea come into this game having lost three of their last four in all competitions and losing in Monday night football in a game where they dominated possession but just couldnt find a way past a resiliant Stoke defence. Gomis and Andre ayew will be the key men for the Swans as they look to bounce back with a win here but this is going to be a tough game. Sigurdsson, Shelvey and Montero are the kye men in the midfield but they have all struggled on the road this season as have Swansea in general.
This one is one that I am not crazy about but I do think that Villa as the home team should be shorter odds. Getting 2/1 on Villa against a team that has struggled on the road is some value and I am going to take the home dog on a min bet.
