Interesting match up here as Astra and West Ham are tied 2-2 after the first leg. West Ham led 2-0 at one stage and were cruising but then James Collins got dismissed and prior to that they lost Enner Valencia to a bad injury. The wheels sort of came of for Slaven Bilic's men then and they conceded twice in the last thirty minutes to leave themselves with a mountain to climb in Romania. Still with Zarate, Nolan, Jarvis and Adrian there is enough quality in this side for Hammers fans to be confident that the team will give it a good go tonight in Romania.
Astra played poorly in the first half at Upton park but then turned things around in the second half. With Bodrin and William the Romanian's have two quality brazilian strikers who bring a touch of class to their set up. Astra will be hoping to get an early goal at home on Thursday and kill this tie off but with West Ham knowing the must either win the game or draw while scoring at least twice I cant see this one being a cagey affair.
Slaven Bilic is in his first season at West Ham as manager but he definitely will not want to go out of the Europa League at this early stage. I think he sends his team out tonight to try to get a win and get them through to the next round. West Ham do have a tough game against Arsenal this weekend in the Premier League but I still expect a big performance from the hammers tonight. At 19/10 there is value in taking the away side tonight.
