In a weekend of terrific fixtures we have the game of the weekend in La Liga from the Vincent Cauldron stadium where Atletico Madrid will take on cross city rivals Real in what should be a hotly tested fixture. Atletico Madrid will look to Fernando Torres, Vietto and Greizmann to take the game to Real as Atletico will be looking to get a win that could take them above Real in the league and level with Barcelona. Manager Diego Simeone has had the better of his battles with Real in the league over the last few seasons and he will look to get one up on his new Real Madrid rival Rafa Benitez on Sunday evening.
Real's hopes of a derby victory rest at the feet of the brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portugese superstar is the gel that holds this side together and has the ability to be a game winner at any moment. Ably assisted by Benzema and Bale Ronaldo has struggled in recent years against Atletico as Simeone has always come up with tactics to neutralise the wingers ability to influence the game, often by deploying a man marker but quite often by doubling up on the wing to cut out the space Ronaldo requires to thrive. Not always easy to accomplish but Atletico have had more success than most against both Real and Ronaldo.
Cracking derby game in store for us here with both of these teams needing a win in the league to keep them in touch with early leaders Villareal. I think that Atletico are going to gancy their chances of getting the win at home here and as home underdogs I am going to go with Atletico I think this game should be a coinflip so the value we are getting on Atletico as underdogs is just too much to pass up on.
