Game of the weekend in Spain will see Valencia travel to Madrid to take on Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone's side were Champions last season but have fallen short this season and may be struggling to adapt to life without Courtois and Diego Costa. The off season additions of Greizmann and Mandzukich have been successful and the addition of golden boy Fernando Torres in January adds depth to an already talented squad. Greizmann will miss this game through suspension and will be a loss but Koke and Turan should be able to fill in while the french man is out. Simeone will look to get a win here that keeps Atletico on the tails of Barcelona and Real Madrid in case of any slip ups but this is going to be a tough task against a Valencia side that are in great form.
Valenica come into this game with four wins on the bounce and are now only a point behind Atletico Madrid. Piatti, negredo and Parejo have been terrific in this four game winning streak and Valencia look like a side that are going to make it to the Champions League next season. Valencia fans have been waiting for this for a couple of years and the off season additions they have made while not completely successful have given them a strength in depth that is paying off. Piatti is the key goalscorer although Negredo was the big purchase to score the goals the former Manchester City striker hasnt really found a scoring groove yet.
Going to take both teams to score here. Atletico have been terrific at home all season as usual under Diego Simeone. Valencia have been in sensational form though and looks like the team that is going to threaten Atletico's position as third best team in the league. Both of these sides have lots of class going forward and we should see plenty of attacking tomorrow along with goals. Both of these should find the net in what will be the game of the weekend from La Liga.
