David Alaba will lead his Austrian team as they take on Hungary in the opening round of fixtures in this year’s Euro 2016. Both teams lucked out in the draw this tournament as this is one of the easiest groups there is in this tournament and although Portugal is a good side, both teams could hope to qualify. That being said, a loss in this game for either team will cause a lot of problems and I think this might be a little bit of a conservative game.
Austria are a good side but other than Alaba, they don’t have many superstars. This team needs to build around the Bayern Munich superstar and work well as a unit otherwise there might be some trouble. That being said, they are more than capable of doing this as they showed in qualifying and I think they will do well in this game.
Hungary on the other hand will be in a similar situation to Austria and they also will need to work well as a unit. This team have not been in great form but they managed to make the tournament and I think they won’t be getting smashed in these games. Furthermore, I think they might even get a point here.
Austria have had their odds dropped down way too low in my opinion due to David Alaba and as good as he is, I don’t think he will have a massive impact since they are going to be playing him out of position. This is a good bet since we are getting a good price and a draw is due in this year’s Euro 2016 so I am going to take this bet for sure. The under 2.5 goals is also an appealing bet since I don’t think either team has many goals in them.
