Bayer is welcoming Bayern Munich in round 20 of German Bundesliga.
Leverkusen is one of the top 5 teams in Germany. Leverkusen holds 9th place in the standing only because the team is yet to show their full potential. Leverkusen is playing great, attacking soccer with lots of passing, and because of that a young team like this tends to get carried away and that is what costs them on the defensive end. Havertz and Volland lead Leverkusen with 7 scored goals. Pohjanpalo and Restos are both injured and will not play. Leverkusen has lost only 1 game of the last 7 and defeated Wolfsburg last week away from home which certainly boosted their confidence. Leverkusen’s home record so far is not great, 4 wins, 1 draws, and 4 losses with 13 scored goals and 15 conceded goals.
Bayern Munich is the top team in Germany and Europe. Bayern team is led by Robert Lewandowski, one of the best strikers in the world who scored 12 goals in 18 matches. Bayern is playing very nice and enjoyable soccer with lots of passes and plays through their wingers, Muller and Coman. Tolisso, Robben, Ribery and Neuer who is Bayern’s first goalkeeper are all injured. Bayern is in second place in the Bundesligawith 42 points, which is 6 points behind Dortmund. Bayern is on 7 game winning streak and have not lost any of their last 6 away games.
Normally I would pick Bayern any day of the week, but given the fact that Leverkusen team is waking up and Bayern will be without some of their top players and starting goalkeeper, I will pick something on goals.
