The Allianz Arena will be the venue for the second leg of the Champions League semi final between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the first leg finished 3-0 to Barcelona with Lionel Messi inspiring Barcelona in the last thirteen minutes, two goals and an assist leave the Spanish Champions elect in a very strong position going into tonight's second leg. Barcelona have been in terrific form of late and have now won twenty three of their last twenty five games and look set to be crowned Champions of Spain. Barcelona have also become favourites for the Champions league and with Neymar Messi and Suarez up front they have game winners and a trio of top class strikers that really cant be matched throughout Europe. Barcelona's only weakness maybe in the center of their defence where they are still lacking a top class center half and if Bayern are to get at them it will be that position they focus on.
Bayern looked like they could open up BArcelona in the first leg but they played a containing game and didnt come out and attack the Spanish side. Lewandoski looked like he had the beating of the center halfs every time the ball went up to him but with a lack of support he became an isolated figure as the match wore on and Bayern dropped deeper. Missing Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery, Munich must look to Thiago and Goetze to provide the inspiration from midfield. Lahm and Schweinsteiger will protect the back four and Thomas Muller will play the foil for Lewandowski. Guardiola rested almost all his first team at the weekend so the players will be fresh for tonight and Bayern know that this is the rest of their season. The question is are they good enough to turn around a 3-0deficit.
The answer to that last question is probably no but I think that Bayern will win tonight and at 8/5 this will be one of the bets of the week. While Barcelona are a terrific side, Bayern are at home and generally speaking Bayern dont lose at home. Getting them at 8/5 is a gift and one I will gladly take!
