Host of the Audi Cup Bayern Munich will face Milan at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday with Bayern losing out on the German Super Cup at the weekend, losing 5-4 to Wolfsburg. Bayern have a superb squad with Ribery , Robben and Muller among the best front three's in European football. There is so much strength in depth that the loss of Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United may not even be felt that much as thy have replaced him with Arturo Vidal. Bayern will probably start Vidal on Tuesday to give the home fans a look at their newest superstar. Bayern manager Pep Guardiola is looking to get the balance of his side right before the season starts and the Audi Cup will give him two more games to try to get his best line up on the field.
Milan have a new manager in Mihjalovich who was brought in after Inzaghi struggled last season. Mihjolvich had an impressive time at Sampdoria where he improved their defence to being among the best in the league. He has been given free reign in Milan and already his defensive strengths have been on display with his side keeping two clean sheets in their two pre season International Champions Cup games. A solid defence is the basis for success according to Mihjalovich and with him having the funds to bring in the offence he wants this could be a really good match up in terms of manager and team. Already Milan have gone out and got Bacca, Luiz Adriano and Verdi to bolster that misfiring offence. Add in Honda, Menez and Cerci and there is enough quality here to bring Milan back to the top table in Serie A.
This should be a good game but I cant see there being many goals, in the game against Real Madrid Milan were very defensive and I expect the same on Tuesday. Milan have a really solid defence but they will do well if they can stop this all star Bayern front line. At the same time I think the unders is where the value lie and I am going to take them for a small interest.
