A finely balanced Group C will see Benfica take on Galatasaray on Tuesday night with both teams looking for a win. Galatasaray caused a shock on the last round of fixtures when beating Benfica in Turkey and opened up the Group to a whole host of possibilities. Galatasaray have a talented core here led by Snejder, Bulut and Yilmaz with former Arsenal striker Lucas Podolski also a key man at the moment. Galatasaray have a solid squad and will go to Benfica looking to get a win that could put them top of the group if results went their way. With a potent strike force and strong midfield Galatasaray will be tough to beat here and Benfica will have to be at their best to get the win here.
Benfica though come into this having won five of six home games in all competitions this year and Benfica will be keen to get a win here at home that would almost guarantee them a place in the knockout stages. Benfica were not good though last time out in the Champions League, they took the lead against Galatasaray but couldnt hold on as the Turkish side overpowered them through the middle. Jonas is the key man up front for Benfica at the moment but maybe the key figures will be Jardel and Luisao as they will need to contain Galatasaray's potent attack.
Really interesting game here that looks to me to be well balanced. I think Benfica probably deserve favouritism but not as short as they are here. I'm going to take Galatasaray +1 on the handicap here. This one looks like it could be decided by one goal but I actually like the draw. Galatasaray have improved alot since their opening round loss to Atletico Madrid and I think they will give Benfica lots of problems here.
