Ligue one action on Friday night will see Bordeaux host third places Nice in what on paper anyway looks a really good match up. Nice will be missing influential midfielder and top scorer Hatem Ben Arfa who has a hamstring injury. The former Newcastle & Marseille midfielder has been having a remarkable season and looks destined for a place in the French squad for Euro 2016 such has his form been. Without Ben Arfa Nice will look to Germain and Mendy to lead the line. This is a good nice team and they sit third in the table having proved all season that they can play with the big boys but Nice have struggled over the last few away games with no win in seven now on the road. This is a tough away fixture as well with Bordeaux having one of the best home records in Ligue 1.
Bordeaux themselves come into this game struggling a little, they have lost their last two at home(one in the cup) and have lost four of their last six. Bordeaux are also in the midst of an injury crisis with thirteen players currently on the injury report, that is half a squad and too many injuries for any team to be able to cope with. While Bordeaux's main men Diabate, Rolan will still be fit and available neither has lit up the league this season struggling for goals in a team that has scored plenty. Bordeaux's problem this year has been defensively where they have conceded 39 goals in 26 games which is the third highest in the league behind the bottom two.
This one is tough to make a fair call on while you have to respect Bordeaux's home form and Nice missing Ben Arfa is not a good thing it's tough to take Bordeaux with so many injuries, for this reason I am going to go with the draw here. This game probably see's both teams cancel each other out and I expect it to be a low scoring game 1-1 or 0-0 for me.
