Borussia Dortmund is welcoming Bayer Leverkusen in round 4 of German Bundesliga.

Borussia has shown us great soccer in the first three games where they scored 9 goals but also conceded 5 goals with their sloppy defending. In their last match against Union Berlin, Dortmund was a huge favorite and they had 75% of ball possession, 87% of correct passes but only 2 shots on goal. Despite the huge possession, Borussia has lost this game 3-1 against the team who was promoted to Bundesliga this season. Borussia has some great players who are playing in good form and it's only a matter of time before coach Favreu get his defense to a higher level and gets Borussia back on the winning track. Paco Alcacer has scored 4 goals in first 3 games while Sancho added 2 goals and 3 assists. Morey and Thorgan Hazard are both injured and will not be in the lineup. Dortmund is 5th in Bundesliga standings at the moment with 6 points and with the quality they have, Borussia will climb the standings in no time and compete with Bayern Munich and Leipzig. Borussia had quite a few players on international duty for their countries who all played very well and even scored some goals. It's always hard to predict in what form will players come back and how will that affect the team, but in my opinion, this won't matter here because Borussia has depth and quality on the bench to replace anyone.

Bayer Leverkusen has had a slightly better start of the season than Borussia. In the first three games, Bayer has scored 6 goals while conceding 3. In their last match against Hoffenheim, Bayer was a much better team with 75% of ball possession, 2 shots on goal, 19 corner kicks, 87% of correct passes but weren't able to score a goal and the game ended up in a 0-0 draw. Last season Leverkusen has had a lot of problems on the defensive end because of their young defenders. This season, it seems those young defenders like Sven and Lars Bender and Tah have matured and that is visible in their game. Only injured player for Leverkusen is Pohjanpalo which means that coach Peter Bosz will have his strongest lineup at his disposal. Kai Havertz is Bayer's best players and one of the biggest talents in the world who is already showing us what he can do and will probably end up in a much bigger team in the next few seasons. Bayer is playing fast and exciting soccer with high possession which is working great for them, and if Leverkusen manages to stay in good form and keeps their best players through the winter transfer window I believe they could end up in one of the top 3 spots in Bundesliga. Bayer was a complete disaster in the preseason and is yet to play one of the top teams in Bundesliga but I think they have the quality in their starting lineup to compete with any team. The problem, in the long run, could be their lack of depth and if someone gets injured, that could present some new problems for coach Bosz.

Matches between Dortmund and Leverkusen are always fun and exciting with a lot of goal chances and scored goals. Leverkusen hasn't won any of their last 3 games against Leverkusen. Both teams are playing in good form offensively, while their defense is still a bit shaky and because of that, I see the potential for a lot of goals here.

Pick:
Over 3.5 goals +100

Being from Croatia I was raised with soccer all around me and I loved to watch and play soccer ever since i was little kid, especially after Croatia won third place in 1998 World Cup in France. I watch and follow soccer on a daily basis and to get the oppurtunity to write about it is amazing.
