The game of the weekend in the Bundesliga will see the top two go head to head, Borussia Dortmund have closed the gap to five points on Bayern Munich and the two face off this weekend at Signal Iduna Park. Can Borussia Dortmund get a win that would see them get to within two points of the current Champions? Many though the title was decided months ago but Borussia Dortmund have now won thirteen of their last fifteen in all competitions and have one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment in Patrick Aubeymeyang. With MArco Reus, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan all chipping in as well this is a team playing with huge self belief and I think they will not be over awed by the occasion on Saturday. When Jurgen Klopp was manager of Borussia they consistantly turned over Bayern Munich and given that Munich lost at hoe last weekend I think there will be plenty of pressure on the Champions.
Pep Guardiola's side have not played well of late and have struggled to put away teams even the bottom teams with Bayern scraping past Hoffenheim, Hannover and losing to Mainz last time out. In addition Bayern also gave up a 2-0 lead in Italy to draw 2-2 with Juventus in the Champions League a result that could come back to bite them. GUardiola's side do have immense talent though with Lewndowski, Robben , Ribery, Muller, Goetze all quality players who can score or create a goal given a half a chance. There is no doubt that Bayern will look at this game as one they must not lose, the pressure of losing here could carry negitive connotations into the second leg against Juventus and put added pressure on the Bayern side. I think Guardiola and BAyern would love a win here but that's going to be tough to get here.
I like what Dortmund are doing this season. Not often you get the chance to oppose Bayern at realtively decent odds with a good chance but this is one of those occasions. At worst I think this game shoudl be a coin flip. Getting Borussia Dortmund at over 2/1 is just too good to passs up especially with this side's impressive home record. Take Borussia to get the win here.
