Borussia Dortmund look to overturn a 2-1 deficit when they host Juventus in Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday in what should be the tie of the week in the UEFA Champions League. Borussia Dortmund have started to turn their season around and their recent form has been excellent. Defensively Dortmund have no conceded a goal in their last four games but they have had some issues up front drawing a blank in their last two league games. Borussia must win the game on Wednesday to have any chance of progressing but with Marco Reus and Aubeymeyang up top their is the talent to get the win. This is a huge game for Dortmund as their only realistic chance of staying in the Champions League is to win the competition this year so that they qualify for next years competition. Jurgen Klopp came under a lot of pressure earlier in the season as Dortmund struggled but he deserves credit for turning it around and if they can get past Juventus, then who knows this could be the Germans year.
Juve though are champions of Italy and are cantering away with Serie A again, having lost just one game since October the Old Lady as they are known are extremely difficult to beat and will go to Germany knowing a draw is enough for qualification. With Buffon in goals and a solid back four Juventus success this season and last is built on their strong defence. With Pogba, Pirlo in midfield and Tevez up top the talent in the squad is there to go along way in this competition but they must first negotiate this very tricky tie.
I am going to go with Borussia Dortmund here, I just like what they have done recently and I think that Juventus have been susceptible to slip ups in the Champions League. WIth Reus up top Dortmund can get the win and get through to the quarter finals.
