One of the high profile Club Friendlies over the weekend will see Juventus take on Borussia Dortmund with both teams in very different places. Juventus have had an off season of change with Pirlo, Tevez gone and Vidal looking at the exit door as well. In has come Dybala, Zaza, Kheidera and Mandzukich and the team is now very much based around Pogba. Juventus will take time to get their balance but this is a quality squad that they have assembled for the upcoming season.
Borussia Dortmund on the other hand have pretty much the exact same side as the one they had last year. Marco Reus and Matt Hummels have stayed and the only change has been the manager with Jurgen Klopp exiting and in coming former Mainz coach Tuchel. Dortmund struggled for long periods last season but finally turned it all around in the second half of the season and made it to the DFB cup final beating Bayern Munich in the semi final. With Reus, Aubeymeyang , Kagawa there is goal scoring talent in this Dortmund side and I think they are in better shape for this friendly that Juventus.
Given the prices here I cant help but think Dortmund are the value bet. At 2/1 with a much more settled side I think Borussia Dortmund should get the better of a new look Juventus and given that the game is in a neutral venue I'm willing to take Reus and co here to get a win. Again as with all friendlies just a small play but this is one of those ones that if it was competitive I would be moving towards a max bet for value.
