Borussia Dortmund host Schalke at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday in one of the games of the day in the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund lost 2-1 in Italy midweek against a strong Juventus side but Dortmund were the better team and were desperately unlucky to lose the game. The return of Marco Reus to full fitness has co incided with Borussia Dortmund's best form of the season. With Aubeymeyang and Reus playing in behind Immobile, Jurgen Klopp's side look back to the sort of form that brought Dortmund to a Champions League final a couple of years ago. This will be a tough game though as Dortmund did play a tough game midweek and Schalke on the other hand played in the Champione League the week before.
Schalke will be looking to pick up some points here as they try to maintain their hold on fourth in the Bundesliga. Schalke have failed to win in three of their last four Bundesliga games but Roberto Di Mateo side have also only lost one of those games as their defensive strengths have become more and more evident the longer Di Mateo has been in charge. With Boateng , Choupo Moting and Meyer looking to fill the void left by the injuries to Julian Draxler and Klaas Jan Huntelaar Schalke have struggled a little without their star striker and creative midfielder. Defensively though Schalke have been excellent.
This should be one of the games of the week in the Bundesliga, with Dortmund coming back from an away Champions League tie there is a chance that they come out flat and struggle to get up to full throttle in this game but having watched the re emergence of the team over the last few weeks I am confident Reus and Aubeymeyang will cause problems for Schalke's back four no matter how strong Di Mateo's defence is. I am going to take both teams to score here as I like the value more than taking the home side.
