If Bournemouth win on Monday night against Bolton they will be promoted to the Premier League. Sounds simple but the nerves are bound to be at the team sitting in second in the Championship table. Two wins from their remaining games could see Eddie Howe's side claim the Championship crown but the most important thing for both players and fans will be to get a win tonight that see's Bournemouth make it's debut in the Premier League. Having never reached the top tier of English football this would be a remarkable achievement for a club that were close to losing their Football League status in the 2008/2009 season. Four Seasons and two promotions later and Bournemouth sit on the cusp of creating history, they just need three more points to be promoted. With a young manager and an exciting squad Bournemouth have been a breath of fresh air this season, scoring the most amount of goals in the league and being involved in some crazy goal laden games. Wilson , Kermorgant, Rithie, Jones and Pitman all provide an attacking threat and tonight they will be looking to lead the club to victory.
Bolton Wanderers were in danger of relegation when Neil Lennon took over in October, Lennon did a good job of getting them out of the relegation zone with some clever transfer moves bringing in former England striker Emile Heskey and former Barcelona and Chelsea Striker Eidur Gudjohnson. With those two contributing both experience and goals Bolton kicked on and moved away from the relegation dogfight. Bolton will know that tonight's opponents are going to be nervy with so much at stake but for Bolton this is a game where they have no pressure and can just go and play. Quite often that gets the best out of teams and tonight they could play the role of spoilers.
Having looked at this one for quite a while I think Bournemouth come good tonight and I think they do it in style. With nothing much to play for it is hard to imagine Bolton will be taking this game too seriously and the home side have so much on the line I think they go out and get it done. Eddie Howe has proven himself to be a serious manager and his team will go out there and get the job done tonight. Take Bournemouth -1 as they ensure promotion to the top flight.
