Brazil will play against Peru in the final of the 2019 Copa America.

Brazil enters this match having beaten Argentina 2-0 in the semifinal. It was a determined performance by Brazil as they defeated their arch-rivals. The Brazilian captain, Dani Alves, was outstanding during the match as he produced an incredible assist which allowed Gabriel Jesus to open the scoring. Roberto Firmino doubled the lead for Brazil by scoring in the 71st minute.

Brazil have had a very good tournament and the team has been aided greatly by the support from the fans. This Brazilian team has defended extremely well throughout the tournament. Brazil are yet to concede a goal in this tournament. With such defensive form and the fans on their side, it will be tough to stop Brazil.

On the other side of the coin, Peru created a major upset in the previous round as they defeated Chile 3-0. Peru only had 34% of the ball but they were very efficient with the possession as they created 9 shooting chances. Edison Flores opened the scoring for Peru as the attacker scored in the 21st minute. Yoshimar Yotún and Paolo Guerrero both scored for Peru also.

Peru had a modest group stage but the team have turned up their performances in the knockout stages. Peru have eliminated both Uruguay and Chile from this tournament.

Peru and Brazil met in the group stage. It was a very one-sided match as Brazil won the match 5-0. 5 different players scored for Brazil in the match against Peru.

This match between Brazil and Peru will be played at the Estadio Jornalista Mário Filho in Rio de Janeiro.

Peru have shown great determination in this tournament and have done very well to make the final. That being said, I see Peru losing this match. Brazil have been the top team in this tournament and this sides looked determined to win on home soil. Brazil thrashed Peru in the group stages and I see the host nation winning this match and the title.
