Friday night EPL action will see Brighton travel to the Vitality Stadium for a meeting with a Bournemouth side who are desperate to get their season up and running.
Brighton having lost their opening two games of the year settled down with a draw at Watford and a good home win over West Bromwich Albion with an impressive display. Chris Hughton's side are solid and tough to break down. They will be led from the back by Irish Center half Shane Duffy a big man with a big heart who will put his body on the line for his team and also represents a significant aerial threat at set pieces. Brighton played well at the weekend beating a West Brom team who have started the season very well. With Pascal Gros netting twice the German midfielder will be in confident form ahead of this clash with Bournemouth.
Bournemouth are yet to pick up a point this season and are languishing in 19th in the league table. Eddie Howe made some good moves in the summer bringing in experienced striker Jermain Defoe, top class goalkeeper Asmir Begovich and full back Nathan Ake. The Cherries were desperately unlucky to lose at home to Manchester City with the away side pilfering the win with a 94th minute goal from Raheem Sterling. That wasn't the first time Bournemouth were caught late as Watford managed to net two late goals in the first home game at the Vitality on August 19.
Interesting clash here with both teams fancying their chances of a result in my opinion. Bournemouth put in a fine performance at home to Manchester City but were picked apart last weekend by a rampant Arsenal. Brighton will be solid this season and they hold their shape well in games. With Brighton picking up their first win last weekend and scoring three goals in the process I think they can get something from this one. Taking a solid and disciplined Brighton on the handicap here +1
