Brighton are set to host Arsenal on Boxing Day for a fixture in the English Premier League.
Arsenal had an easy win over the weekend as they beat Burnley by the score of 3-1 at home at the Emirates Stadium. Aubameyang continued his good form as the Arsenal striker scored twice to ensure there was no doubt in the result. It was a very solid win for Arsenal as they controlled 61% of the ball and had 4 more shots on target when compared to their opponents. That win meant that Arsenal are equal with Chelsea on points and are closing in on 4th spot on the ladder. Alex Iwobi also scored in the game against Burnley which is another positive as the winger has not had good form this season.
On the other side of the coin, Brighton lost to Bournemouth in their last fixture. It was a poor performance by Brighton as they only had 43% of the ball and 4 fewer shots when compared to Bournemouth. Furthermore, Dunk received a red card meaning Brighton will not have him available for this fixture. The suspension of Dunk will be a huge loss for Brighton as the defender is a massive part of the team and it will be hard for them to defend against a strong Arsenal line-up without him. Brighton have been in decent form at home this season but considering their opponent, it is going to be very hard for the hosts to get a result from this fixture.
While Brighton have shown lots of heart this season, I see them losing this match. Arsenal are a much stronger team and I think they will be too strong for their opponents. With the good form of their key players, I am picking Arsenal to win.
