In the English Premier League, Liverpool will travel to the south of England where they will face Brighton at the American Express Community Stadium.
Brighton enter this match in good form as the team is unbeaten in 3 games. In the previous outing, Brighton got an away draw against West Ham United. It was a good performance by Brighton although they will be disappointed that they let a 2 goal lead slip away. As it currently stands, Brighton are well clear of the relegation zone and the team is looking to heading in the right direction. This is expected to be a very tough match for Brighton and their defence will be tested greatly.
Liverpool lost their previous game as they were beaten by Manchester City. In addition to that, Liverpool also lost to Wolves in the FA Cup. That being said, Liverpool have been playing exceptional football and remain 4 points clear at the top of the table. Salah has been scoring freely while Sane and Roberto Firmino are also in good form. The defence is being well led by Van Dijk meaning that things are looking very good for Klopp and his team. Playing at Brighton is never an easy task but Liverpool have one of the best squads in Europe and the Reds should feel that they can win easily.
Liverpool and Brighton met earlier in the season at Anfield. Liverpool won that game 1-0. Brighton’s last home game against Liverpool was last season where the Reds managed to win 5-1.
As far as this game is concerned, I see Liverpool winning. The Reds are far stronger and will be determined to bounce back after losing to Manchester City. With the likes of Sane, Firmino and Salah playing exceptionally well, I see Liverpool getting a big win from this game.
