Brighton is back in the English Premier League and they will start their campaign at home against Manchester City at home. This is a big season for Pep and his side since they have spent a lot of money in the transfer window and they will be expected to win the league.
Brighton was very convincing in the Championship last season but the step up to the Premier League is a big one. This side did not spend a lot of money and they are one of the favorites to get relegated. This will not be an easy game for them since they are clearly outmatched in all areas of the park. They will hope to use their home fans to get a result but it seems unlikely since Manchester City look a lot better than Brighton all over the ground.
City has spent well and signing of defenders such as Kyle Walker makes this team look very complete. Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero are both looking in good form and they should provide plenty of goals for the team from the north of England. De Bruyne and David Silva have also looked in really good form and they will add a lot of creativity to the side. The defensive midfielder role looks a little fragile with Yaya Toure and Fernandinho both on the wrong side of 30.
As far as this game is concerned, Manchester City should win quite easily. We are getting a bad price on this bet so I would avoid it. That being said, the over 2.5 goals looks like a good bet. Manchester CIty should score 3 goals themselves so I think this is quite a safe bet also.
