Hamburg vs Schalke
Simply put here I am taking the team that needs to win. If Hamburg dont get a win here they are definitely relegated. Schalke have not won away from home since the turn of the year incredibly, losing four and drawing four of their eight Bundesliga games. There is no doubt Schalke have the talent to win any game with Huntelaar, farfan, Choupo Moting, Boateng but they have been pretty poor in recent weeks with nothing to play for they cant move up to the Champions League places and wont finish outside the Europa League places. Hamburg need the win, they have struggled mightily for goals all season but they have quality in the form of Van Der Vaart, olic, Gacar and Lasogga. Gacar in articular has scored three in their last four and they will be looking got goals wherever they can get them. Taking Hamburg to get the win here in what should be a game frought with tension.
Paderborn vs Stuttgart
Both teams need to win simple as that or they will be relegated. Stuttgart can stay in the playoff which means they play the team that finished third in Bundesliga 2 if they draw and Hamburg lose but really Stuttgart will be looking to get the win here that will more than likely take them out of the relegation places. Stuttgart have put together back to back wins to give themselves a chance but both those wins were at home and they have lost four in a row away from home. Tough game but they need a win. Paderborn know they simply must win no other scenario is good enough for them and having won just one of their last nine home games they really need to flip the form tables here at the Benteler Arena. With both teams needing the win I'm taking the overs, I think there is all out attacking on display here and we should see some goals, if Paderborn are to go down I think they will go down fighting.
Pick: Over 2.5 goals
Hannover vs Freiburg
WE have a scenario here where a draw keeps both Hannover and Freiburg up if Stuttgart fail to beat Paderborn. Will both teams have an eye on that game? Of course and if Stuttgart are not beating Paderborn .. well a draw will surely be the result here right? Some would call me cynical for believing this is likely to be a stone wall draw but Freiburg have really shown some terrific form of late and beating bayern last time out shows that they have the potential to win against the better teams even if Bayern were not at full strength. I am taking Freiburg +1 here, I just dont think they lose after doing the hard work of getting themselves into a position to survive.
Pick: Freiburg +1
