In the English Premier League, Burnley are set to host Manchester City at Turf Moor.

Burnley lost their previous match at home as they were beaten 2-0 by Crystal Palace. It was a disappointing performance by Burnley as they were outclassed at home. Burnley only managed 43% of the possession. The passing was especially poor for Burnley as they had a pass accuracy of only 65%. It has been a modest season for Burnley as they have 18 points from their 14 games. That being said, this is expected to be a very tough match as they are playing against an elite team in Manchester City.

Looking at Manchester City, the Sky Blues have had a poor few games and that has resulted in the team falling significantly behind Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title. Manchester City only managed a 2-2 draw against Newcastle United in their previous outing. The match was dominated by Manchester City as they controlled 77% of the possession and had 24 shots but the team failed to hold onto the lead which cost them the points. Raheem Sterling continued his outstanding form by scoring the opening goal for Manchester City. While the results have not been ideal, Manchester City have still looked very impressive and I see them being a very tough opponent in this match.

Manchester City and Burnley last played each other in April. The match was played at Turf Moor with Manchester City winning 1-0. Sergio Aguero scored the only goal of the match which gave Manchester City the victory.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Manchester City to win this match. Burnley are a solid side but they don’t have the quality to contain Manchester City. The Sky Blues have an outstanding side and I see them bouncing back strongly following a poor result over the weekend.
