Manchester United will travel to Wales where they will play Cardiff City in a fixture in the English Premier League.
The big news at Manchester United is the fact that the team has sacked manager, Jose Mourinho. It has been a very poor season for the Red Devils and their loss to Liverpool was the final strike for the manager. It was a disappointing performance by Manchester United as they only had 35% of the ball and Liverpool dominated most of the game. The defence was poor for Manchester United as they conceded 3 goals and allowed Liverpool have 36 shots. A new manager should be a positive for Manchester United and the team will be desperate to ensure they start the new era with a win.
On the other side of the coin, Cardiff City were beaten in their last match. It was a poor performance as Cardiff City lost away to home at the hands of Watford. It is fair to state that Cardiff City’s biggest advantage in their home ground as most of their positive results have happened at home. Cardiff City have won their last 3 home games which have included wins over quality sides such as Wolves. This match will be a much tougher challenge as Manchester United is a team that is filled with quality players.
This will be the first time that Manchester United and Cardiff City will be playing each other since the 2013/2014 season as Cardiff City has not been in the Premier League for the last few seasons.
All in all, I am going to pick Manchester United to win this match. While Cardiff City have been good at home, they don’t have the quality to compete with Manchester United. The Red Devils should be fired up with a new manager and that should be enough to give Manchester United all 3 points from this fixture.
