In the English Premier League, Chelsea will host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. Both teams are major clubs in London meaning that this is a big rivalry match for both the Blues and the Spurs.
In their previous outing, Chelsea played against Manchester City in the final of the English League Cup at Wembley. It was a close match where Chelsea lost on penalties. It was not the best performance by the Blues as they managed only 38% of the balls and had no shots on target. It is important to note that the Chelsea defenders played well as they stopped Chelsea from scoring in 120 minutes. The fighting spirit from Chelsea was commendable but there seems to be problems in the Chelsea camp as there are rumours that the players and manager are in civil war.
On the other side of the coin, Tottenham also had a poor outing in their previous match as they were beaten by Burnley. It was a shock defeat for Tottenham as they controlled the majority of the ball but failed to win. On a positive note, Harry Kane scored which means the England captain is fit and playing well once again. Outside of the loss against Burnley, Tottenham has been playing relatively well as they beat Borussia Dortmund recently in the Champions League.
Chelsea and Tottenham met earlier in the season at Wembley Stadium where Spurs was the home team. On that occasion, Tottenham won.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Tottenham to win this match. Chelsea have struggled over the past few weeks and things are not looking good within the club. Tottenham have been solid throughout the season and with Harry Kane fit again, I think Spurs will be too strong. I see Tottenham getting all three points from this fixture.
