Chievo is set to host AC Milan in round 27 of Italian Serie A.
Chievo is by far the worst team in Serie A with only 1 win, 10 draws and 15 losses and only 19 scored goals and 51 concede goals. Chievo hasn’t won any of their last 7 games and are playing really bad soccer on both ends. With only 10 points, Chievo is on the last place in the standings and are 12 huge points away from a safe zone and the way Chievo has been playing they will most certainly be demoted to Serie B. Stepinski is Chievo’s top goal scorer with 6 goals while Pellissier added 4 goals. Chievo’s injury list is pretty long and some important players like Seculin, Tomovic and Frey are on that list for some time which is in part a reason why the team is playing this poorly. In their last game against Torino, Chievo created some chances and had 4 shots on goal but weren’t able to score and have lost 3:0. Unfortunately Chievo doesn’t have quality this season to be any higher in the standings and its better for them to get demoted to Serie B and regroup and be more competitive.
Milan is playing in great form as of late and are on a 9-game streak without a loss which has brought them to 3rdspot in the standings, spot that leads into Champions League. Piatek leads Milan with 5 goals in 6 matches since his arrival to Milan 2 months ago and has just been lights out for this team and is a type of a player Milan desperately needed for a long time, cold blooded striker who will use most of the chances he will get. Suso added another 5 goals and 8 assists. Part of a reason why Milan is playing this well is their midfield line which can easily control the game with short and fast passes and calmness when in possession of the ball. In their last game against Sassuollo, Milan hand only 45% ball possession and only 3 shots on goal but were able to score a goal and win 1-0. Bonnaventura is injured while Rodriguez is suspended because of yellow cards. After many years of torture, Milan is finally playing nice and enjoyable soccer filled with charisma which they learned from Milan legend Gatuso who is their coach and are starting to look like a Milan from early 2000’.
Milan hasn’t lost any of their last 20 games against Chievo and have won last 5. Chievo has been disaster, especially on the defensive while Milan is living their best days yet and are in a great form I’m seeing them winning this match.
