Saturday night action from Serie A as Chievo host Milan in what should be a competitive fixture. Chievo are in a relegation battle right now, sitting just four points clear of the relegation zone and having struggled for consistancy all season Chievo could do with a win to move them away from the drop zone. Chievo have won two of their last three including an impressive home win over Sampdoria last time out at home. Izco and Meggiorini found the net in the game against Sampdoria but overall Chievo have struggled to score goals this season. In fact Chievo have scored the least amount of goals in Serie A this year and obviously these struggles are why they are in the bottom half. In fact Chievo have conceded the eight least goals in the league so obviously their defence is getting the job done but their offence just cant find the net enough to push Chievo up the table.
With Milan facing into this game after a home win over Cesena but Inzaghi's team has really struggled especially on the road where they have won just one of their last five away fixtures. Menez is the key man for Milan along with Honda and Pazzini but Menez has been the main goal threat this season with twelve goals so far. Milan and their fans expect more than the season they are having and this looks like another lost season one in which Milan will miss out on European football. There are still fourteen games to go though and Milan are only six points behind the Europa League places but they must win tricky games like this one if they are going to get into Europe next season.
i dont love this play but I am going to take Milan to get the win. Milan have been a little better of late and although their results havent shown it they have been playing against the best teams in the league. Menez is a quality player and I think Inzaghi will get the best out of him and Honda for the rest of the season, if El Sharawaay can find his scoring boots Milan will be in with a shot of European football.
