The South American World Cup qualifying campaign gets interesting on Thursday with two high profile games, Chile host Colombia and of course Argentina and Brazil. While many will focus on the other game the Chile and Colombia tie could be one of the best games of the week. Colombia have plenty of attacking talent and will welcome back James Rodriguez from injury with the Real Madrid star probably replacing the suspended Quadrado who was sent off in the last minute of a 3-0 loss to Uruguay in the last qualifying game. With Bacca the Milan star leading the line and Rodriguez in behind this is a Colombia team who will be a threat to anyone on their day. Strength in depth is evident in the squad as well with Jackson Martinez and Falcao probably both starting on the bench. Colombia will go to Chile looking for a result and this should lead to a cracking encounter.
Chile are the Copa America champions for the first time in their history and will look to maintain their perfect start to the qualifying campaign with another win here. Led by Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez and Bayern Munich's Vidal this is a team high on confidence and likely to be attacking from the off. While there is no doubt that a strong defence worked well for them in the Copa America Chile have an abundance of attacking options and Sanchez is playign some really terrific football right now and will look to continue that at International level where he netted two goals in his last game with Chile against Peru.
This one should be a really good game, I'm taking the overs though as we are getting a generous price. There is no doubt that both teams possess solid defences but I think it will be offence to the fore on Thursday night as Colombia look to get back on track after a poor loss in Uruguay and Chile look to maintain their strong start to the qualifying campaign with a win here.
