Chile and Mexico clash late Saturday night in the 2016 Copa America quarterfinals at Levi's Stadium.

Chile finished second in group D with victories over Bolivia and Panama, & a loss to Argentina. Chile has had a balanced attack but has found its most success on the offensive end with seven goals and 25 shots on target. Chile has produced six goals in its last two matches and is coming off a win in which it had 23 shot attempts. Alexis Sanchez leads Chile with two goals and 12 shot attempts while Eduardo Vargas has two goals and six shot attempts. Defensively, Chile has allowed five goals and nine shots on target. Chile has allowed two or less goals in seven straight matches. This is Chile’s fourth straight quarterfinals appearance in Copa America.

Mexico won group C by beating Uruguay and Jamaica, & forcing a draw against Venezuela. Mexico has really flexed it's muscle defensively during this tournament, as it’s allowed two goals and a total of 12 shots on target. Mexico has now allowed one or less goals in 11 straight matches. El Tri has played three different goalies this tournament and all of them came away with big saves and managed the game well. Offensively, Hector Herrera leads Mexico with one goal, one assist and eight shots, while Jesus Manuel Corona has one assist and 10 shot attempts. Mexico has gotten 50 percent of its shots on target and is averaging two goals per match. Mexico has made it out of the groups stages of Copa America for the seventh time.

These are two talented teams, as Mexico was my dark horse to win the tournament while Chile has really impressed and are the defending champs. This match is truly a coin flip, which is why I’m going to side with the over and avoid picking a winner. Both clubs have oodless of talent and should be able to pressure the defense by getting quality looks at the net. I think we see a few fireworks in this match.

Expect at least three goals.
