Costa Rica take of Paraguay in their first game of this year’s Copa America in what should be a great game. Both teams have a ton of talent and they both play an open, free flowing, attacking style of football which is pleasing to the eye.
Paraguay are a team with a lot of footballing history but in recent years it seems like they have fallen off the radar with the likes of Colombia and Ecuador taking their places in tournaments like the World Cup. Nevertheless, this is a chance for the Paraguay to prove their doubters and get a win on the board to start their competition. I expect this team to play a lot of long balls forward since they have height up front with the likes of Santa Cruiz in the forward line. That being said, this is going to be a tough game for them since Costa Rica are a good team.
Costa Rica proved themselves to the world in Brazil 2 years ago and now they will want to have another deep run in this tournament. This side is well led by Real Madrid first choice keeper, Keylor Navas and his security between the posts will boost the side hugely. I think their problem might lie in the number of goals they can score but Campbell and Ruiz will look to prove me wrong. That being said, this should be a win for the Costa Rican because I think they are simply the better team here.
As far as betting is concerned, we are getting an amazing price on Costa Rica who are somehow underdogs here. I think this is wrong and the bookmakers have made a mistake so we should pile some money on the outright result. This is a great value bet so I think any stake you put on it is justified.
