The Czech Repulic play their second match of the group stage against a Croatian side that are on a mission. This game might look like not much on paper, but any game that involves the likes of Petr Cech and Luka Modric is worth watching.
Czech Republic held on for a long time against Spain but ended up falling short by just a few minutes. This team has no real attacking threat but at the back they are not bad, especially with a world class keeper. This time around I think it will be a lot harder for them since they will need to win and winning for them will leave them exposed at the back. I don’t like the Czech Republic’s chances of winning this game.
Croatia showed us why they are the dark horse of this competition in their opening game as they played a very complete match against Turkey. Granted Turkey were not on form but the way in which they won was very impressive and I think they will win here once again. This team has a great midfield which can dominate position and a goal scorer that finished well. These two attributes allow Croatia to succeed and I think they will do that again in this game and leave with all three points.
All in all, I think this will be a Croatian win. That being said, the betting will not be as easy since Croatia have a really short price so have to look at the goal odds. I think that the over 2.5 goals is the better bet here since Czech Republic might look to play more attackingly which will allow lots of goals so this looks like a good wager.
