Crystal Palace have had a great pre-season and with their new additions looking strong, the team will be ready to go as they open their season off against West Brom at Selhurst Park. A win is what both teams will want as a good start to the season could mean endless possibilities so I am expecting an attacking game.
West Brom with their manager, Tony Pullis, have managed to develop a system that bores most viewers but is quite effecting. This team is tight at the back and they have pace which allows them to break on the counter-attack. The last time these teams met West Brom won the game but that was a few months ago now and Crystal Palace look to be a far improved team.
The owners at Crystal Palace have given the side a few great additions with the likes of Townsend joining from Newcastle. This will boost the side and with other talented players like Wilfred Zaha and Yohan Cabaye, this might just be a good season for the Eagles. I think they will win this game since they are simply in amazing form from pre-season and I expect that to follow through come opening day of the Premier League.
As far as betting is concerned, we are getting a little bit of a short price on Crystal Palace who are paying less than even money at some bookmakers. I think the best option for this game is to look at the Asian handicaps and take the Crystal Palace -1.0. I don’t think there is a scenario where Crystal Palace lose this game, especially at home so I think this is practically a free roll so it is surely a profitable play. Other than that, both to score is also a decent bet considering that Crystal Palace have been struggling to keep clean sheets.
