DC United take on Atlanta United in the Major League Soccer as the two teams head to the US capital to play a game which both sides need to win. DC United are currently in the bottom of the Eastern Conference which Atlanta are not doing a lot better so as a result both teams will be very determined to get a win on the board and hope to turn their seasons around.

DC United have been poor all season and the biggest problem has been the fact that they cannot score goals. The men from the capital are decent at the back but have only managed to score 10 goals all season after already playing 15 matches. This is worse than it sound since the MLS is a very high scoring league. This game they will need to turn things around and they have a great opportunity since they are up against a team that have defensive issues of their own.

Atlanta have problems defending and that has been an issue for them. Their job will be easier in this game since they are up against a side in DC United that can’t score so that is a positive. On the bright side, this team is great at attacking having scored the most goals this season in the Eastern Conference.

As far as predicting a result, I am going to go with Atlanta United. While they are away from home and not playing their best, DC United have been terrible this season and as a result I think it makes a lot more sense going with the away side. We are getting a good enough price on this bet so I think it is definitely the way to go.

Pick:
Atlanta
