England and Spain will play each other at Wembley Stadium for the opening round of the UEFA Nations League.
England is coming off a great World Cup campaign where the team far exceeded expectations by making it into the semifinals. The English public were very impressed and that should ensure that Wembley Stadium will be filled and buzzing. Gareth Southgate has done well with the England team as they look very balanced on the pitch with good players in all positions. Harry Kane has been the big player for England as he has provided the team with a large number of goals. The midfield has also been very good with players such as Dele Alli providing lots of creative chances. The team is in great form and they will be very hard to beat with the home crowd cheering them on.
The Spanish team, on the other hand, are coming off a disappointing loss to Russia in the World Cup. Furthermore, the team also lost their manager who took the Real Madrid job. This is a new era for the Spanish national side and the new manager will look to start his campaign with a win. There is still tons of talent on the pitch with the likes of Isco and Diego Costa still playing for the side. This will be a very difficult start for the new manager as the Spanish team will be playing opposition who are in outstanding form.
All in all, I am going to pick England to win. The England side is in great form following a tremendous World Cup campaign and the players will be high on confidence as result. Furthermore, England will be at home and the fans will be making things very hard for Spain. Spain, on the other hand, are rebuilding with a new manager and I think this match will be too much for them. I am picking an England win.
