The Line: England -110 / Sweden +300 / Draw +230 -- Over/Under: 2
The final quarterfinal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place between England and Sweden. This is a big game for both sides and the pressure will be on all the players, staff and fans. I am expecting an incredible atmosphere and a great game of football.
Sweden won their round of 16 match thanks to an amazing strike from RB Leipzig superstar Emil Forsberg. This side has far exceeded their expectations and is now hoping to make it further than any Sweden side has done in the past. There is great balance in the team with the defense looking unbreakable. Facing England will be a big test for Sweden since the Three Lions are filled with great players.
Looking at this England side, there seems to be a great atmosphere. The players seem to play well together, the manager is loved and the media is behind the team. Things got a little tense for England in the round of 16 but the Three Lions managed to keep a calm head and win the game in penalties. This is one of the best chances that England will have of making it to the final since they have gotten a really easy draw. It will be important that the players and the manager realize this and ensure that they make it to the final.
All in all, I see England winning and making it to the semi-finals. The English look like a really well-oiled unit and the added value of having superstars such as Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Dele Alli will be a massive advantage. I expect Sweden to fight hard but I think this game will be a step too far for this young and adventurous Sweden side.
As far as betting is concerned, we are getting a good enough price to bet on England to win. This seems like the most logical bet so it is the wager which I am going to suggest. In addition to that, I am also a fan of the under 2.5 goals. While both teams have goals scorers, this should be a tight game since there is tons of pressure. That should lead to a low scoring contest.
