There are some mightily important games in England’s second tier this weekend, none more so than Forest vs. Leeds at the top of the table. Can Fulham grab an away win at Blackburn? Can QPR move clear of Huddersfield.

Here are the weekend’s best Champions bets.

Huddersfield Town vs. QPR – 2/8/20

Despite sitting down in sixteenth place, QPR are the Championship’s third-highest scoring side this season with 47 goals from 30 games. However, only two teams in the division have a poorer defensive record than QPR. Huddersfield have also been weak at the back recently, so I think we’ll see plenty of goals when the two teams meet on Saturday. Six of QPR’s previous nine league games have produced over 2.5 goals, while six of Huddersfield’s last eight games have seen over two goals scored. 1.80 is a great price for over 2.5 goals in this matchup.

Pick: Over 2.5 Goals – 1.80

Blackburn Rovers vs. Fulham – 2/8/20

Blackburn are currently tenth in the table, while Fulham sit eight points ahead of Tony Mowbray’s side in third place. Both sides are unbeaten in their previous four games but a disappointing 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough halted Blackburn’s promising run last weekend. Fulham have claimed three wins in their last four games and are now pushing for an automatic promotion place. Fulham are a far better team than Blackburn, so the odds for the away win seem too good to miss here. It’s also worth noting that Fulham have kept four clean sheets in their previous six league outings.

Pick: Fulham to Win – 2.40

Nottingham Forest vs. Leeds United – 2/8/20

Nottingham Forest welcome Leeds to the City Ground for a top of the table clash on Saturday night. Leeds are second – four points ahead of fourth-place Forest. Both these teams have excellent defensive records, but neither side has scored too many goals this season. Five of Forest’s last eight games have produced under 2.5 goals, while Leeds also have the same record in recent games. It’s difficult to pick a winner for this matchup given that both teams will be desperate to avoid defeat. For that reason, under 2.5 goals makes sense.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.73

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
