English FA Cup 3rd Round Replays: Best Bets – Odds, Predictions, and Picks

Eight of the 32 FA Cup third round games were drawn earlier in the month, so there are some replays to be played this week. I have chosen to feature three games that offer some promising value when it comes to betting on the upcoming fixtures.

Let’s get stuck into this week’s best bets for the FA Cup third round replays.

Blackpool vs. Reading – 1/14/20

When the two teams met earlier in the month, Reading came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw at the Madejski Stadium. Reading currently sit fourteenth in the Championship after a run of seven games without defeat, while Blackpool are thirteenth in League One after failing to win any of their last five league games. It’s also worth mentioning that Blackpool are winless in their previous four meetings with Reading, so all the signs are pointing towards an away win here. Blackpool will put up a fight, but Reading’s quality should see them progress into the fourth round.

Pick: Reading to Win – 2.40

Shrewsbury Town vs. Bristol City – 1/14/20

League One outfit Shrewsbury snatched a replay with Championship side Bristol City following a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate. Famara Diedhiou put Bristol City ahead, before Sean Goss equalized for the third-tier team. Shrewsbury find themselves fifteenth in the League One standings with just one win in their last five league games. On the other hand, Bristol City have won two of their last three league games to put themselves ninth in the Championship table. Due to their away status in this matchup, the odds for a Bristol City win seem too good to miss here.

Pick: Bristol City to Win – 2.30

Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers – 1/15/20

In the only all-Premier League tie of the third round replays, Manchester United host Wolves at Old Trafford on Wednesday. The sides played out a dull goalless draw at Molineux last time out, but I think we’ll see goals this time around. Both teams have been good going forward this season, but neither side has been defensively solid. Just three points separate fifth-place Man Utd and seventh-place Wolves in the Premier League table, so picking a winner for this game could be risky. For that reason, both teams to score is the best bet for this matchup.

Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.75
