Newcastle vs Watford: Things are looking very bad at Newcastle United as the Magpies remain in the relegation. In their last match, Newcastle only managed a draw against Southampton as their strikers struggled once again. Newcastle have only averaged 0.6 goals per game and that is making life very hard for the Magpies. On the other side of the coin, Watford had a comfortable 3-0 win over Huddersfield in their last game and are currently in the top half of the ladder. These two teams are having contrasting seasons and it seems like Watford will be too strong for Newcastle. I am picking Watford to win this match.
Everton vs Brighton: Everton had a close match against Manchester United last weekend where they were closely beaten 2-1. It was an impressive display by the Everton midfielders as they managed to give the team 46% of the possession against the Red Devils. It should be easier for the team to maintain possession in this match. Brighton also played well in their last match as they beat Wolves at home 1-0. This team has done very well at home but their record away from home is poor as it currently stands at 1-1-3. Considering they are playing a strong Everton team away from home, I am expecting them to lose. I see Everton winning this match.
West Ham vs Burnley: West Ham drew against Leicester City in their last match. It was a hard-fought point for the Hammers as they were down to 10 men for most of the match after Mark Noble was sent off in the first half. Returning to London Stadium should be a boost for West Ham. Burnley, on the other hand, were beaten 4-0 by Chelsea. It has been a poor season for Burnley as they have conceded 9 goals in their last 2 games. With the team in poor form, I see Burnley losing away from home against an in-form West Ham side.
Cardiff City vs Leicester City: This will be an emotional game for Leicester City as the team mourns the loss of their owner who tragically passed away in a helicopter accident following their last game. These events seem to bring a team together and it looks like that could be the case for the Foxes. This should be an easy win for Leicester City as Cardiff City are one of the worst teams in the league. Cardiff City lost 4-1 last weekend and with Leicester City determined to win in honor of the tragedy, it seems very unlikely that there is any result other than a win for the Foxes.
Wolves vs Tottenham: Wolves have fallen into a bad run of form as they have now lost their last 2 matches. It was a disappointing match for Wolves as they lost to Brighton in a game where they controlled 61% of the possession. This week it will be tough for Wolves as Tottenham are an elite side. Tottenham also lost their last match but it was against Manchester City and it was a positive to see Spurs play as well as they did. This match will not be easy as Wolves have managed some big results at home. While Tottenham are definitely the better team, I see Wolves play well enough to get a draw at home.
Huddersfield vs Fulham: Huddersfield and Fulham have both been struggling greatly this season. Huddersfield moved to the bottom of the ladder after their defeat to Watford last weekend. Fulham are also close to the bottom and they were very disappointing as they lost to Bournemouth 3-0. Neither side look good enough to win although Fulham have shown that they can score goals which should give them an advantage. It is tough to pick a winner since both teams are very poor but I am going to side with Fulham.
