Fulham vs Wolves: Fulham managed a 0-0 draw in their last outing as they did well away from home against Newcastle United. While the point was important, Fulham will gain great satisfaction from the fact that they managed to keep a clean sheet considering their struggles in defence this season. On the other side of the coin, Wolves were beaten by Liverpool at home. While the loss would not have been enjoyed, it was not a big negative as the result was expected considering Liverpool’s strength. Wolves have been playing very well this season and have beaten many top teams. With Fulham’s struggles, I see Wolves winning this match.
Burnley vs Everton: Burnley were beaten comfortably in their previous fixture as they lost 3-1 to Arsenal. On the other side of the coin, Everton had a tough outing against Tottenham. Neither side has been playing well recently which should make life hard heading into this fixture. Everton have now failed to win in 5 outings which Burnley remains amongst the bottom teams in the league. On paper, Everton have a stronger side and that should be enough since Burnley are looking very poor and it seems like they far from getting any points.
Crystal Palace vs Cardiff City: Cardiff City were beaten at home last weekend as Manchester United made easy work of them. It was an expected result, but it still means that Cardiff City are in desperate need for points as we approach the new year. On the other side of the coin, Crystal Palace had a big win as they beat Manchester City away from home. The win would have lifted the team greatly and they have now won 2 successive games. Considering Crystal Palace are playing at home and look in much better form, I am picking them to win this game with some ease.
Manchester United vs Huddersfield: Manchester United won their previous game as they beat Cardiff City away from home to allow the team to start on a positive not under the new manager. It was a dominant performance as the Red Devils won 5-1. Huddersfield, on the other hand, were beaten at home by Southampton. The loss was big as the Terriers lost a home game to a relegation rival. Huddersfield looked outmatched and very low on confidence. With Manchester United returning to winning ways, I see the Red Devils winning this match.
Southampton vs West Ham: Southampton won another vital game as they beat Huddersfield away from home. The win was much needed, and the team now looks like they have the ability to get wins and fight for survival. On the other side of the coin, West Ham lost to Watford. While the defeat would have been very disappointing, the Hammers have been playing very well recently and I see them as a confident side heading into this game. Both teams have found some good form and although West Ham look the stronger side, I see this match ending as a draw.
Watford vs Chelsea: Chelsea had a shock defeat as they were beaten by Leicester City. It was a very poor outing for Chelsea as they failed to capitalize on their chances and that allowed the Foxes to beat them. On the other side of the court, Watford beat West Ham in their last outing as the Hornets seem to have rediscovered their form. This will be a very tough outing for Watford as Chelsea are a much stronger team and should be focussed after their shock defeat against Leicester. I am picking Chelsea to bounce back strongly and beat Watford.
Tottenham vs Bournemouth: Tottenham won their last game as they played Everton at Goodison Park. Tottenham have been playing well over the past few weeks and the likes of Son and Alli have been in exceptional form. Bournemouth also won their previous match as they beat Brighton at home. Bournemouth are much stronger at home than on the road and that has been reflected in their results this season. With this fixture taking place at Wembley, I think Tottenham will be too strong for Bournemouth. I am picking a Spurs win.
