Arsenal vs Huddersfield: Arsenal have been exceptional over the past few months and their ability was best shown in their previous 2 matches as they beat Tottenham at home and drew with Manchester United away from home. Huddersfield, on the other hand, were beaten by Bournemouth in their previous match as the Terriers find themselves in a battle to avoid relegation. This fixture looks like a mismatch with Arsenal being at home and a much stronger team. I see Arsenal winning with ease.
Burnley vs Brighton: Brighton played exceptionally well midweek as they beat Crystal Palace 3-1 at home. It was an important win for Brighton as they beat an old rival. That win would have given Brighton tons of confidence heading into this fixture. Burnley, on the other hand, suffered another defeat. The home side has looked very poor all season and their defence has been terrible. With an inform team visiting this weekend, I see think it will be very hard for Burnley to defend well enough to get a result. I am picking Brighton to win away from home.
Manchester United vs Fulham: Manchester United looks to be in a downward spiral as they have now failed to win any of their last 4 Premier League fixtures. In their last match, Manchester United only managed a point against Arsenal and while the result was decent, the team didn’t play very well. This should be an easier match for Manchester United as Fulham are much weaker than Arsenal. Looking at Fulham, they managed a point against Leicester City at home midweek. While it was a decent performance, Fulham have looked very poor against top teams as was shown last weekend where they were comfortably beaten by Chelsea. With this match at Old Trafford, I see Manchester United having enough talent to win this match.
Cardiff City vs Southampton: Southampton were beaten easily by Tottenham midweek as they lost 3-1. It has been a very tough season for Southampton and they will know the importance of this match as they are playing against a relegation rival. Similar to Southampton, Cardiff City also lost their last match as West Ham beat them easily. The biggest asset for Cardiff City is their home ground which has been very hard for opponents to play at. Southampton are a weak side and while they should be able to compete in this match, I see Cardiff City winning since they are playing at home.
West Ham vs Crystal Palace: West Ham had a good game midweek as they beat Cardiff City to ensure they remain clear of the relegation zone. The team has been attacking very well and they were led by Lucas Perez who scored twice for the Hammers. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, were very poor in their previous match as they were beaten by Brighton. The Eagles lacked attacking threat and they defender in a very poor manner. With West Ham playing better football and playing at home, I see the Hammers getting all 3 points from this fixture.
Leicester City vs Tottenham: Leicester City managed a draw against Fulham as they played midweek. It was a decent performance by the Foxes although they failed to convert their chances as they could have easily won that game. On the other side of the coin, Tottenham comfortably won their game as they beat Southampton. Tottenham are filled with exceptional players. While this match may not be a big priority as the Spurs have a Champions League clash coming up, I think Tottenham are good enough to win with some key players rested.
Newcastle vs Wolves: Newcastle United fought hard in their previous match as they managed to get a point against Everton away from home. The problem for Newcastle has been their consistency as they have lost many games they should have won. It is a similar problem for Wolves as they beat Chelsea midweek. Wolves played exceptionally well against the Blues but they have lost many games they should be winning. While it is hard to predict this match since both teams are so inconsistent, I am going to pick Wolves to win since they have the stronger squad.
Everton vs Watford: Everton managed only a draw against Newcastle at home midweek which would have been frustrating as the Toffees were the better side. This is another chance at a win and considering the strength of the defence, Everton will feel very confident. Watford, on the other hand, lost another match as they were beaten by Manchester City. The Hornets are playing very poorly and they have been losing most of their games recently. With this match being played at Goodison Park, I think Everton will be too strong for Watford.
