Can Chelsea make it six league wins on the bounce when they face Crystal Palace? All the signs are pointing to a Blues win, but can Lampard’s side keep a clean sheet in the process? In-form Leicester host an inconsistent Arsenal, while Newcastle and Bournemouth aren’t likely to give us many goals. Here are the best bets for this week’s English Premier League fixtures.

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace – 11/9/19

Chelsea have won their last five league games and currently sit 4th in the table. Only Manchester City and Leicester have scored more goals than the Blues this season, but Chelsea’s record of 17 goals conceded is a cause for concern. Crystal Palace are 9th in the table, eight points behind Chelsea. The home side is the favorite to win this game at 1.30, but considering their poor defensive record, betting on Chelsea to conceded while winning makes sense. Chelsea drew 4-4 with Ajax in midweek, so I’m expecting another high-scoring match this weekend.

Pick: Chelsea to Win and Both Teams to Score – 2.63

Leicester City vs. Arsenal – 11/9/19

Leicester are flying this season. They are the division’s second-highest scoring team, while Jamie Vardy sits at the top of the goal-scoring charts with 10 goals in 11 games. The Foxes are just two points behind second-place Manchester City, and will be full of confidence having won their last three league matches. On the other hand, Arsenal have won just one of their last five league games and had to settle for a disappointing draw with Vitoria in the Europe League on Wednesday. The odds for a Leicester win seem too good to miss here.

Pick: Leicester City to Win – 2.00

Newcastle United vs. Bournemouth – 11/9/19

Only bottom-place Watford have scored fewer goals than Newcastle in the league this season. The Magpies have managed just nine goals in 11 games, and find themselves down in 15th place. Despite sitting 7th, Bournemouth have also been struggling to find the back of the net recently. The Cherries have scored just once in four matches. A 1-0 defeat to Arsenal was followed by consecutive goalless draws with Norwich and Watford. Bournemouth narrowly beat Manchester United last time out, but I can’t see there being too many goals when these two teams meet.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.73

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
