Premier League action returns with a full list of midweek fixtures. The festive period dishes up games thick and fast in England, so don’t forget to place your bets on this week’s matchups.

I’m backing Chelsea to get the better of Villa, while Leicester should breeze past Watford. There is likely to be plenty of goals when Southampton host Norwich.

Here are this week’s best bets for the English Premier League.

Chelsea vs. Aston Villa – 12/4/19

After a run of six straight league wins, Chelsea have now lost two on the bounce. However, I’m expecting the Blues to bounce back with a win on Wednesday. Chelsea have been scoring plenty of goals lately, but no team in the top half of the table has conceded more than Lampard’s side. Aston Villa have scored in each of their last four games (including two against Manchester United last time out). Chelsea are the clear favorites at 1.25 and I’m confident they’ll claim all three points. But I’m backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Pick: Chelsea to Win and Both Teams to Score – 2.40

Leicester City vs. Watford – 12/4/19

Leicester have won their last six league games and are second only to high-flying Liverpool in the table. Brendan Rodger’s side have scored more goals than the league-leaders and also boast the best defensive record in the division. On the other hand, Watford are bottom after picking up just one win from their 14 games this term. The Foxes a rampant at the moment, so odds of 1.30 are still pretty good for a home win. Still, I think backing Leicester to win both halves is a great bet, and the odds are very attractive.

Pick: Leicester City to Win Half Time/Full Time – 1.91

Southampton vs. Norwich City – 12/4/19

Southampton and Norwich both find themselves in the relegation zone. The Saints are 18th with 12 points, while Norwich are 19th on 11. Southampton have the league’s worst defensive record having conceded 32 goals. Norwich have conceded the second-highest amount of goals (30). With that being said, both sides have managed to score more goals than four other teams in the division. Given their respective goal-scoring records, both teams to score make sense here.

Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.57

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
