For this week’s best EPL bets, I’ve picked some tasty odds that can hopefully deliver us a profitable early Christmas present. I’m backing Leicester to beat Man City at 7.50, Man Utd to cruised past Watford, while Newcastle and Crystal Palace are likely to settle for a draw.
It’s worth pointing out that putting these three bets in an accumulator gives you odds of 58.13!
Newcastle United vs. Crystal Palace – 12/21/19
Crystal Palace come into this game in ninth place – one point and two places ahead of Newcastle in the table. Both teams have won six of their 17 league games this season, but an extra draw for Palace means they sit just above the Magpies. Roy Hodgson and Steve Bruce build their teams on a solid defense, but this has seen both sides struggle to score goals this term. Only bottom club Watford have scored fewer EPL goals than Palace and Newcastle in 2019/20, so I think we’re set for a low-scoring draw when the two teams meet on Saturday.
Pick: The Draw – 3.10
Manchester City vs. Leicester City – 12/21/19
Purely for the potential profit, I’m backing Leicester to beat Man City this weekend. The Foxes currently sit four points ahead of third-place Man City. Brendan Rodgers’ side have lost just two of their 17 league games this term and boast the best defensive record in the division. On the other hand, Man City are the league’s top scorers, but they have been shaky at the back. With the likes of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison in red-form form, I can see Leicester upsetting the odds here. The odds for the away win make this bet too good to miss.
Pick: Leicester City to Win – 7.50
Watford vs. Manchester United – 12/22/19
Watford are still rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table having won just one league game all season. The Hornets possess the poorest goal scoring record in the division and also have the third-worst defensive record. In contrast, Manchester United have been scoring goals for fun lately and come into this game on the back of a five-game unbeaten run. Watford are likely to sit back and defend, while Man Utd will hit them on the counter-attack. The away win is at 1.73. But given that Watford are likely to make it hard for Man Utd, adding the under 3.5 goals market into the mix boosts the odds.
Pick: Manchester United to Win and Under 3.5 Goals – 2.50
