Can Southampton end Liverpool’s remarkable winning streak? Saints have been enjoying some promising results recently, but the Reds look simply unbeatable at the moment. There are also two mid-table clashes this weekend that offer us some excellent value.

Here are the best bets for the upcoming round of Premier League fixtures.

Crystal Palace vs. Sheffield United – 2/1/20

Palace currently sit eleventh in the table – three points and three places behind Sheff Utd. Both sides have been tough to beat this season, but neither side has scored many goals, either. The Eagles have scored 22 goals in 24 games, while the Blades have netted 25. However, Sheff Utd have the second-best defensive record in the division having conceded just 23. Palace’s defense has also been tight this season, conceding 28. It’s tough to pick a winner for this matchup, so I think under 2.5 goals makes sense here. This fixture isn’t likely to produce many goals.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.55

Liverpool vs. Southampton – 2/1/20

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season, claiming 70 points from a possible 72 in 2019/20. The Reds have won their last 15 league games, dropping points to Manchester United all the way back in October. Southampton have also been on an impressive run of their own. Saints have lost just one of their last nine games in all competitions and have moved up to ninth in the EPL standings. However, Liverpool have been playing some outstanding soccer, so I’m backing the home side to win both halves in this game.

Pick: Liverpool to Win Half Time/Full Time – 1.80

Burnley vs. Arsenal – 2/2/20

Both Burnley and Arsenal have picked up 30 points from 24 league games this season. But the Gunners’ superior goal difference sees them sit tenth, while Sean Dyche’s side are thirteenth. Arsenal come into this game on the back three straight draws, with both teams scoring in each of those games. Burnley secured an impressive away win at Old Trafford last time out but have also been unconvincing at the back recently. Given the respective goalscoring records of the two sides, both teams to score is the best bet for this matchup.

Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.77

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
