Probably the game of the weekend in the Premier League will see Tottenham Hotspur travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. Tottenham are an outside bet for the title, I've been singing their praises for the last few weeks as Spurs have delivered time and again , four wins in their last five which has left them just seven points off top. A win tomorrow will leave Tottenham just four points off the leaders Arsenal, it's been a remarkable season for Tottenham who have lost just two games all season. There are definitely flaws in this team and Tottenham have had too many draws this season but I think that Erikson, Dembele, Lamela, Kane and Son are one of the best front fives in the league. In particular Lamela and Dembele are having impressive seasons and when Tottenham counter attack they are at their best. I see this as being a bench mark game for Tottenham if they can come away from Goodison Park with all three points then it's time to start looking at this team as a genuine contender for the title.
Everton are jekyl and hyde this season, they have been sensational at times and then Shambolic at times. Roberto Martinez has a good side here and a win here can move them up to ninth but just three points off fifth. With Lukaku up front Everton have one of the best strikers in the league who is in terrific form having scored eleven goals in ten games. Lukaku is a superb talent and with McCarthy, Barkley and Deulofeu all playing exceptional football as well this is a dangerous team on their day and I think no one will fancy going to Goodison Park in a couple of years as this team is very young and very talented. Everton may be a little short right now but they are improving year on year. I think this team is going to push for European football come the second half of the season.
Tottenham are slight favourites coming into this game and I think that is a fair reflection of how the two teams are playing this year. I like the overs in this one though Everton have been involved in some cracking games at home this season and I think this has the potential to be another brilliant game with both teams possessing a bundle of attacking talent.
